Due to growth, NRG Research Group, a leading market and public opinion research

firm operating in Western Canada, is currently looking to expand our Data Services/Programming team.

The Web Programmer/Data Processor is responsible for programming surveys using a variety of methods including HTML and Voxco. The accurate and timely production of data functions/analyses. These include: data cleaning, coding, quota management, quality control, survey programming and data processing. This position reports to the Manager, Data Services.

The successful candidate will receive training and guidance in setting up surveys for NRG’s CATI system or the internet, WinCross, SPSS, quota management, and data analysis as required.

This position is a mid-level professional position and is ideal for individuals interested in the market research and public opinion research industry.

Responsibilities

The Data Processor is responsible for survey programming and various tasks as necessary for research projects.

Specifically, the primary responsibilities of the position include the following:

¨       Ability to set up projects for data collection including HTML programming for our CATI system, quota management, data processing and loading sample for projects.

¨       Cleaning, editing and logic checking questionnaires, survey data and checking of tables and appropriate statistical reports.

¨       Extraction of data sets. Code creation, editing and coding of verbatim responses.

¨       Tallying and processing, editing of data from paper questionnaires.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Qualified candidates must have experience with HTML. Previous experience with SPSS, Voxco and Wincross are assets.
